Áron Márton Memorial Year project

The mobile application was developed for Android and iOS and platform, and was designed to acquaint youngsters with the lifework of Bishop Áron Márton through a photo and video competition running via the application. The photos taken within the application could be moderated on a different admin surface where the client oversee and verify the incoming material. The confirmed photos and videos then are automatically posted on the client’s social media sites. Developing this complex feature enabled us to successfully synchronize and push the process through various interfaces, creating a simple-to-use structure that our client highly appreciated.

Although our team had to face several minor, as well as some complex challenges during the development of the two systems, we always remained agile and were dedicated to find adequate and efficient solutions. Regarding the website, our team was entrusted to set up a system which could embed all sort of video-streams from various media sources concerning the memorial year. Although these sources used different kind of video-streaming software, we resolved the issue by developing scripts that successfully recognizes the sources of videos and thus able to properly handle them. Also, our codes were proved to be stable despite all the changes during the development process. Concerning the mobile application, the testing process brought to light some minor usability issues. Nevertheless, by constantly examining and registering the development of the application, we quickly eliminated all the barriers and finalized the properly functioning system.

All in all, working on the Áron Márton Memorial Year project brought us many new experiences, challenges and new ideas while seeking the most efficient and innovative approaches to create the two platforms. As a result, we managed to present two securely and soundly working systems that completely lived up to expectations of our client.
